Vijaya Bank aims to generate Rs. 1.26 lakh crore biz this fiscal

Vijaya Bank has set an ambitious target for this fiscal. The bank aims to generate business worth Rs. 1.26 lakh crore for the year 2010-11.

The bank declared its various plans for the fiscal under various business segments at its Annual Business Plan conference held in Bangalore.

The target of Rs. 1.26 lakh crore set by the bank can be bifurcated to Rs 74,000 crore of deposits and Rs 52,000 crore of advances, the bank said.

In the fiscal last ended, the bank had generated business worth Rs. 1,03,911 crore which crossed the benchmark of Rs. 1lakh crore set by the bank. The bank generated a net profit of Rs. 507 crore for FY 2009-10.

The bank is very likely to receive Rs. 700 crore as capital infusion for its recapitalization.
