Yearly closing dates near: working hours raised on 30, 31 Mar

The financial year 2010-11 is coming to end in a week. In order to facilitate revenue receipt from government organizations till late hours, the Reserve Bank of India has extended working hours of banks on March 30 and 31, 2011.

After discussion with the Controller General of Accounts, the RBI has decided that all RBI regional offices as well as agency bank branches which deal with government business will remain open till extended hours on these dates.

This will benefit in accounting all government transactions of this fiscal on its last date, said RBI.
