Public sector lender Allahabad Bank has inked deal with, IT company Integra MicroSystems (P) Ltd to move forward its financial inclusion drive. A five year contract has been signed between the two entities having valuation of about Rs 100 crore, say industry experts. "We have bagged the contract to provide financial inclusion services to Allahabad Bank. As per the contract, we will appoint business correspondents and will facilitate transaction in rural areas through them," a top company official said. In a detailed map of its plan, the bank has identified 1850 villages which needed to be financially included. The villages cover 147 districts in 12 states. A similar deal was bagged by TCS for smart card implementation by Indian Bank as part of the lender's financial inclusion blog. |
