Public sector lender Andhra Bank has set up operations of its 1000th ATM in Hyderabad on June 20, 2011.

Speaking on the occasion of its ATM count to 1000, the bank said, "Our future plans include setting up of an exclusive e-banking centre which will offer ATM cash deposit machines, cheque deposit machines and Internet banking to facilitate all services under one roof."

In a similar occasion, public sector lender Bank of India introduced a new branch at Porur, Chennai. The branch also has locker facility.

The inauguration of the new branch took place in the hands of Mr O.Pannerselvam, Minister for Finance, Government of Tamil Nadu.
