Barclays may acquire Lehman’s investment banking in India

The source said Barclays had already started discussions with relevant international regulatory authorities. However, there are no assurances that all the international operations will be acquired.

BNP Paribas are also considering the acquisition of Lehman Brothers' brokerage businesses in India. BNP Paribas has a mutual fund business and a stock-broking tie-up with south India-based Geojit Securities.
