Manufacturing company, Siemens has launched itself into the financial services industry of India with the inception of its financial services wing, Siemens Financial Services Private Limited (SFSPL). The company has appointed Sunil Kapoor as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The company has filed an application with Reserve Bank of India for approval to start its operations in the wing. Once it receives regulatory nod from RBI, it would commence operations as a non banking finance company (NBFC). The company would lay major focus on asset financing business with product offering consisting of loans, leasing solutions and hire purchase.
