The top lender in housing finance segment, HDFC Ltd expects to achieve growth of 22% in its loan book for the fiscal ending March 2011. The information was lent out by Managing Director Renu Sud Karnad.

She also presented her view that HDFC does not see any further hike in lending rates in near future.

The recent mid quarter review of monetary policy by Reserve Bank of India yesterday did not bring any further rise in policy rates. The apex bank however cautioned on the still mounting levels of inflation, thereby hinting that policy tightening measures may follow up in the January review.
