Private sector lender ICICI Bank is planning for a major expansion spree wherein it plans to increase its branch count by 1500 in the upcoming 4 years time.

The bank presently has a branch network of around 2500. With another 1500 branches added, its branch count will reach out to 4000 by the year 2015, said a senior bank official.

Increase in branch network would aid in increasing the presence of the bank across different locations along with increasing business, said the official.

The presnt branch count of the bank is 2,533 while its ATM network counts to 6301.

A major chunk of branches was added to the bank's kitty when it acquired Bank of Rajasthan and along with it its 450 branches in the year 2010.
