ICICI Bank projects 20% rise in home loan demand this fiscal

The largest private sector lender of the country, ICICI Bank expects its home loan demand to rise by 20% this fiscal.

The chief executive of the bank’s housing finance unit revealed this projection, on Friday.

“There are fewer transactions in major centers like Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore but growth is continuing in other areas," Harshil Mehta said.

Till now, SBI and HDFC have been at par as leaders in the home loan segment.
