Interest rates on loans to small units slashed by Vijaya Bank

Public sector lender, Vijaya Bank has lowered interest rate on Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) loans. The interest rate has been reduced in the range of 0.25% to 0.75%.

The Executive Director of the bank, Ms Shubhalakshmi Panse said, "MSME is a thrust area for us because it is an employment generator and also bridges the gap between the manufacturing sector and the lowest strata of society. We consider it an important link in the entire value chain."
