Panchkula: target of ATM theft

Panchkula has been victim to ATM thefts since the last few days. The last two days have witnessed complaints from 13 customers of State Bank of Patiala (SBOP) and State Bank of India regarding loss of money from their accounts.

Out of these 13 victims, 8 held accounts with SBOP and the remaining with SBI. All the accounts were looted from an SBOP ATM at Sector 4, Panchkula.

The thief has been detected by the CCTV camera as wearing helmet and the theft occured on 14th November between 7.30 am and 8 am.

A similar case which yet remains unsolved occured in Chandigarh in August when 20 customers of SBI complained of card cloning and loss of money from their accounts.

There was no security guard in both cases when the theft occured.
