The Jai Jawan Scheme introduced by the largest lender of the country, State Bank of India will now allow ex servicemen to avail loan under the scheme. In an announcement made by B M Sangrolli, president of Dharwad unit of National Ex-Servicemen Co-ordination Committee, it was said that ex servicemen who are more than 50 years of age shall be eligible to avail loans upto Rs 2 lakh under this scheme. Sangrolli made the announcement while speaking at a convention of ex servicemen in Hubli. He also made the ex servicemen aware of the various schemes brought by the Central and State Governments for their benefit. The convention was attended by more than 300 ex servicemen.
