The results of the first Common Written Exam (CWE) for the recruitment of probationary officers were declared last week. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), which conducted the exam, has announced that the selected candidates will soon receive their score cards.

Mr. M. Balachandran, director of IBPS, said that the scorecards were dispatched by Speed Post. He also announced that the scores can also be checked at the web site of IBPS.

The Head of Research and Development at IBPS, Professor M. L. Dutt said, "The scorecard contains the information of standard scores in each objective test, descriptive paper and the total weighted score.

The standard score has been derived following a standard psychometric procedure. The procedure has been explained on the flip side of each scorecard, sent to the candidates."

"In the officer cadre, the maximum number of applicants were from Andhra Pradesh while for the clerical cadre the highest number of applicants were from Uttar Pradesh," said Professor Dutt.
