| Tata Housing Development Company, a fully owned subsidiary of TATA Sons Limited, has received Gold Certification for Raisina Residency project, Gurgaon from Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). With this, Tata becomes the first company in the country to receive the gold certification for residential projects. Commenting on the accomplishment, Brotin Banerjee, MD & CEO, Tata Housing, said, "We are extremely pleased to receive yet another Gold Certification from IGBC, and this time in the residential space for our prestigious premium project, Raisina Residency, Gurgaon." The process of certification is based on multiple parameters like site selection, site planning, efficiency of water system, innovation in design, internal environment quality, materials, and energy efficiency. Based on theme, “A Life of Art and Culture,” Raisina Residency, Gurgaon is a residential project, designed by Aedas, a global architectural firm. The project manifests fusion of art and architecture in the latest green building features. The project complex spans over an area of 11.73 acres and has nine towers comprising of premium apartments, duplexes and penthouses. Established in 1984, Tata Housing Development Company is a subsidiary of TATA Sons Limited. The company is into development of both housing (residential) and commercial projects. Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), currently headed by headed by Dr Prem C Jain, is involved in prompting Green Building concept in India. The organization has developed first of its kind rating programme in India, exclusively for the residential projects. The council has a vision to usher green building revolution in India by 2010. |
