Union Bank plans to set branches in Sydney, Belgium

Public sector lender, Union Bank of India is set to open branches in Sydney and Belgium and has also received regulatory approval from Reserve Bank of India in this regard.

Presently the bank has representative offices in Sydney, Shanghai, London, Beijing and Abu Dhabi while it has a branch in HongKong, informed UBI Chairman and Managing Director, Mr M.V. Nair, said.

Nair added that the bank is opening a subsidiary in United Kingdom and setting up a representative office in Canada.

He added that the current ATM count of 2600 of the bank is aimed to be increased to 5000.
