Public sector lender Allahabad Bank is aiming to increase its overseas persence even more. The bank presently plans to set up branches in four Asian cities, quoted a senior official of the bank. "We have approached theRBI for four new branches.One in Singapore, another in Dhaka, then Shanghai and Kowloon in Hong Kong," the Chairman and Managing Directorof the bank, Mr J.P. Dua said. An approval nod from Reserve Bank of India is although still awaited, he said. Talking about the growth target set by the bank for this fiscal, he said that it aims credit growth in the range of 24-25% for this fiscal. "We will see in the last quarter, right now we are comfortable. But as the growth takes place, capital is always needed," he said. |
