In yet another ATM theft case, a man was arrested from Sriniwas puri in south Delhi while he was trying to steal funds worth Rs 8.24 lakh from an ATM there.

The convicted named Kuldeep Gupta has accepted having committed the crime after giving up to interrogation.

"Interrogation was carried out exploring different tactics and ultimately he broke down and admitted to the offence," a senior police official said.

A complaint for loss of Rs 8.24 lakhs from the ICICI Bank ATM was lodged by Retd Col JS Sekhon. The police ended on suspecting Kuldeep as the culprit as he was the one who had access to opening the ATM and insert cash in it.
