Another rate hike by RBI is likely, feels Aditya Puri

Rising inflation figures do not seem to lower down and so does not seem a very bright chance of interest rates getting lowered. A similar thought has been reflected by managing director of HDFC Bank, Mr Aditya Puri.

Puri said that the likelihood of the apex bank raising policy rates stands high despite the requests by big lending players to slow down the rate hike pace.

RBI governor, D Subbarao had quoted last month that the present inflation figures do not stand at an acceptable level for the central bank and thus hinting on the fact that tightening measures are implied to continue.
