In a mass protest against policies set on public sector banks by the government, more than 10 lakh employees across the country are going to go on strike from work on July 07, 2011.

The information was given by United Forum of Bank Unions on Friday.

"The Centre is following a policy that will destroy public sector banks in the country," A K Ramesh, National President of Bank Employees Federation of India (BEFI) said.

According to him, the major points of demand in the strike would be on non privatisation of public sector banks, non merger of banks and ban on outsourcing.
