Bhatia appointed as MD of Bank of America

Asit Bhatia has been appointed back to Bank of America as managing director for Corporate and Investment Banking in India. Bhatia had left the bank in the year 2009 and has rejoined back.

Most of Bhatia's career has been spent with the bank. He had joined the bank as management trainee in the year 1987. His career in the bank has led him to play many roles.

With his new role, Bhatia would be based in Mumbai. He would be reporting to Jayanti Bajpai who is co-head of Asia Pacific corporate and investment banking and also to the country head and to the head of corporate banking coverage for Asia-Pacific.

The bank has appointed Kaku Nakhate as its country head to come into play later this year after the current country head Kevan Watts retires this year.

Bhatia's job responsibility would include the coverage of select clients in India. He would be working in close association with the investment banking, global markets and corporate banking teams.
