BoB aims offshore branch count to touch 100

Public sector lender, Bank of Baroda aims to bring open more branches overseas, as a step forward towards improving its global operations.

The bank presently has an offshore branch count of 85 which it aims to take to 100 in this financial year, informed a top official of the bank.

New branches are sought to be opened in countries like Malaysia, Uganda, Botswana, the Gulf and Australia, said, M D Mallya, CMD of the bank.

The bank has booked a 43% profit in the last quarter of the fiscal just ended.
