BoB to expand offshore to New Zealand

Public sector lender, Bank of Baroda has decided to expand its presence in New Zealand, informed an official of the bank.

Presently the bank has one branch in Auckland which was set up on February 04. It plans to add two more branches, one again in Auckland and one in Wellington.

According to Bank of Baroda NZ managing director Satish Vermani, the bank has received commendable response from customers in New Zealand and the bank plans to increase its service offerings in the country.

The bank started offshore banking with its first branch in Mombasa, Kenya in the year 1953.

Currently it has presence in 24 nations with 70 offices, six subsidiaries and four representative offices.
