Public sector lender Canara Bank has decided on its financial inclusion plans for this fiscal. The bank has decided to put up 100 branches across the country in rural areas, informed Ms Archana Bhargava, executive director of the bank. The bank presently has more than 3200 branches all over the country, said Ms Bhargava. It aims to add 250 more branches to its kitty of which 100 are aimed to be located in rural areas. The ATM count of the bank is also planned to be increased to 4000 in this fiscal. Also it plans to set up operations in Germany and South Africa and also in Sri Lanka, Nigeria and Kenya. |
