Foreign lender Citibank has launched its mobile banking solutions to ease the services for its customers. The bank has come out with Citi Mobile that will take care of the consumer's need for convenient, on-the-go banking with advanced mobile technology through mobile devices across most GSM operators. Citi Mobile will enable the customers to handful of services including check account balances, send money, issue drafts, pay bills, make credit card payments, register for services like e-Statements, request for a cheque book, stop payments and others. Moreover to make mobile banking at par with online banking, Citi Mobile can be easily downloaded onto a mobile phone. Citibank Banking or a Credit Card account, an active Internet PIN, a mobile number registered with the bank, a Java-enabled mobile phone with GPRS connection are all one needs to have an access to Citi Mobile. Citi Mobile can be downloaded into the cell phone through the URL received by an SMS response of a message sent to 52484. Customers need to SMS MBANK followed by the last 4 digits of their Debit or Credit Card number to 52484 and they will receive a URL to download Citi Mobile. The service was launched by Country Business Manager, Global Consumer Group, Citi India, N. Rajashekaran.
