Banking and monetary regulator Reserve Bank of India has mandated that every employee has to take a fixed number of leaves per year so that the bank is offered with time to check in his absence all his activities.

The employees will thus be mandated to spend time with family.

The process is a practice in most MNC banks. This is mostly for those employees who hold sensitive positions.

It is a part of the risk management system of the bank. The leave is given for a minimum tenor of 10 days.

Lenders like Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank and Deutsche Bank have already been practising this policy and it is soon to be brought into enforcement by domestic banks too.
