Public sector lender Indian Overseas Bank is viewing in much detail on the prospects of increasing its offshore business to more than 14 centers abroad. The lender has thus hired the consultancy services of Deloitte Haskins and Sells to look into the issue. CMD of the bank, Mr M Narendra said that the new prospective centers are located over Africa and West Asia. With increasing Indian population abroad, the bank is critically looking for strengthening its business there. The lender is also in wait from receiving approval from regulator Reserve Bank of India about setting up an IT subsidiary.
