Enrolment for UID started by Bank of India

Public sector lender  Bank of India has introduced its enrolment process for the UID project. UID refers to Unique Identification Number.

It is the first bank to issue AADHAR based ATM cards. The project will be carried out by the bank in three phases.

All bank employees and their family members will be given UID numbers in the first phase of the project. The second phase would involve enrollment of customers.

The final phase would have the bank targetting on customer acquistiton through UID enrolment.
