Festive offers seem to be spreading widely amongst all banks. Private sector lender, HDFC Bank has decided to give special personal loans to three customer segments namely government employees, defense employees and teachers.

A press release by the bank said that personal loans to these categories would bear 3-4% waiver on existing rates of loans which is 14.5%.

Also, a discount of 0.50% would be given in processing fees would be given to salary account holders of the bank. The normal processing fees charged by the bank are 2.50%.

For gold loans, a 2% discount in processing fees has been offered by the lender.

The offer is however valid till September 30.
