IBA gets new head in M D Mallya

The Indian Banks' Association (IBA) has got a new chairman in Mr M D Mallya. Mallya is also the Chairman and managing director of public sector lender, Bank of Baroda.

Mallya supercedes Mr O P Bhatt, the former chairman of IBA who superannuated some time back. The selection has been done by the managing committee fo the IBA.

IBA has also appointed Mr Aditya Puri, MD, HDFC Bank, Mr K. R. Kamath, CMD, Punjab National Bank and Mr Rana Kapoor, MD and CEO, Yes Bank, as Deputy Chairmen.

Mr Pratip Chaudhuri, Chairman, State Bank of India is the honorary secretary of IBA.
