Mishra said that rural banks are integral to the development of rural India.

He added that 5 regional rural banks (RRBs) are being supported by Syndicate Bank and these stand in the top 10 RRBs of the country.

"KVGB has emerged as a role model for other RRBs. It is a challenging task to work in rural areas, but it should be accepted as an opportunity to serve rural people," he said.
