PNB awarded for contribution to MSME sector

Public sector lender Punjab National Bank has received two awards for its contribution to the micro, small and medium scale enterprises (MSME).

Out of the two awards received, one is for its excellence in lending activities under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) in the north zone.

The second award has been offered for excellent performance by the bank in lending activites under the interest subsidy eligibility certificate (ISEC) scheme of Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC). This award has been given at the national level.

Executive director of the bank, Ms Usha Ananthasubramanian received the awards on behalf of the bank from Mr Virbhadra Singh, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
