Processing fees applicable for inter bank transactions from July

Banking and monetary regulator Reserve Bank of India has directed that with effect from July 2011, all banks will be imposing processing fees for all interbank electronic transactions.

The originating bank will be imposed fee of 25p for every outward and return transactions.

Every credit transaction would cost 25p and every debit transaction would cost 50p to the originating bank.

All such charges would come into effect from July 01, 2011.
