Public sector lender, Punjab & Sind Bank (PSB) has joined hands with HCL Infosystems for offering smart card services to more than 1500 villages of the country as part of its financial inclusion plan.

As part of the deal, HCL will be providing technology based services to the bank like supply of the core banking and enrolment software, customisation, installation, operation, maintenance of servers and networking, management and maintenance of hardware and software, and delivery and support for banking & financial services and thus aid in its financial inclusion plans.

This deal will also work towards providing UID numbers to benefeciaries.
