The Reserve Bank of India has released new coins in the denomination Rs 10. It is a bi-mettalic coin based on the theme of "Connectivity and Information Technology". The obverse face of the coin is divided into three portions. The top protion has word ‘Bharat' inscribed in Hindi and "INDIA" in English. The centre portion bears an emblem of "Lion Capitol" of Ashoka Pillar. The bottom part has the year of minting inscribed in international numerals. The reverse side of the coin has an outward radiating pattern signifying growth and connectivity. The coins were in the denominations of Re 1 and Rs 2. It also plans for a similar fair in the near future to disburse coins in denominations of Rs 5 and Rs 10. |
