RBI to celebrate birth centenary of Bhagat Singh by issuing coins

The Reserve Bank of India has announced to introduce a Rs. 5 coin in the memory of freedom fighter and martyr Shahid Bhagar Singh.

The coin will have a diameter of 23 mm. Words "Shahid Bhagat Singh Birth Centenary" will be engraved on one side of the coin. The flip side will bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar and the value of the denomination.
