Registration with UID commenced by BoM

Public sector lender, Bank of Maharashtra has started registration process for Aadhaar, the unique identification number (UID). The process was initiated to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the bank.

The occasion was started with the CMD of the bank, Mr. A.S.Bhattacharya registering as the first customer. The bank has taken the responsibility of issuing UID to citizens of Mumbai and Pune.

The 76th anniversary of the bank was marked as 'Customer Day'. All branch managers, regional heads and senior officials were present to interact with customers.

Bhattacharya added that henceforth, February 8 will be considered as 'Customer Day.'
