The largest lender of the country, State Bank of India as well as the largest private sector lender, ICICI Bank have also accredited to themselves the rank of carrying the largest global networks out of all other public as well as private sector peers. The result is based on a 'Report on Trend and Progress of Banking in India 2010-11'. It says that SBI presently has the highest number of foreign offices amounting to 64. Next in league comes Bank of Baroda, another public sector lender with a count of 60 foreign offices. Amongst private sector peers, ICICI Bank has the highest number of offices globally counting to 19.
