SBI tied up with APPL to support small tea workers in Assam

The largest leading institution of the country – State Bank of India has tied up with Amalgamated Plantations Private Limited (APPL). Through this tie up the bank aims to support Small tea growers of the APPL. The bank will assist the tea growers with the credit facility.

It has been reported that there are nearly 31000 small tea growers associated with APPL who work to provide the green tea leaves. Tea sector in Assam in under pressure, the workers over there are facing several problems, through this agreement the bank aims to help them.

The small tea workers require loan, they also demanded that the tea workers in Karnataka get Kisan credit card facility; they should also get certain facilities. The Managing director of the company and the SBI in Guwahati Signed the MOU a few days back.
