SBT banks to provide more support to retail sector

It has been reported that state bank of Travancore is planning to assist with more services to the retail sector. The enhancement of the retail sector will help the bank to enhance the business and increase the profit. MD of the bank stated that bank will open special branches that will separately focus on the state to achieve the aim. Bank will be focusing towards the home loan, education loan, and retail sector.

In order to achieve its goal bank has initiated with the first housing finance oriented branch. Further bank is bank to attract more number of NRI customers and will be opening special branches for NRIs. As a part of the plan the bank will be launching 200 new branches and the special focus will be on these specialized branches. The business turnover of the bank for the current fiscal year was about 1.60 lakh crore.
