Kerela based, State Bank of Travancore, one of the seven associate banks of State Bank of India has set up two more branches in Chennai Module. The new branches are located at Bellandur (Bangalore) and Sholinganallur (Chennai) districts. The bank has a network of total 726 branches spanning across 16 states in the country, with 584 branches concentrated in state of Kerala. The bank has the largest ATM network in the home state and 460 ATMs dotted in 16 states across the country. Recently, the bank revised its Benchmark Prime Lending Rate (BPLR) downwards by 25 basis points to 12.25 percent p.a. from the earlier 12.75 percent p.a. with effect from July 1, 2009. The revised lending rates will be applicable on new advances and existing loans with floating reference rates, which is linked to BPLR. The Benchmark Prime Lending Rate of its parent bank, SBI was revised downwards to 11.75 percent p.a. from the earlier 12.25 percent p.a., with effect from 29th June 2009. |
