Public sector lender, Bank of Maharashtra has decided to give Rs 250 crore to self help groups (SHGs) in this fiscal, informed Mr A.S. Bhattacharya, Chairman and Managing Director, Bank of Maharashtra. So far Rs 150 crore has been given out to around 81,000 SHGs. The bank has also set up its second branch for SHGs in Mumbai. The bank has a total branch count of 1536 and ATM count of 415. 11 new branches have been set up of which 6 are in Gujarat, 4 in Maharashtra and 1 in Chattisgarh.
