SIDBI books highest ever loan sanctions and disbursements

The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has booked the highest ever loan sanctions and disbursements in the fiscal last ended. The FY 2009-10 recorded loan disbursals of Rs. 31,918 crore and loan sanctions at Rs. 35,521 crore.

It was confirmed by Chairman and Managing Director, SIDBI, RM Malla that the microfinance assistance of the bank has increased by 53% to Rs 2,670 crores.

The total assets of the bank recorded commendable increase of 21% to Rs. 41,885 crore at the end of the last fiscal.

The net NPA level of the bank stood at 0.18% as on March 31, 2010.

The bank also showed a growth of 21% in its total income for FY 2009-10.
