Chandigarh: After creating a lot of buzz among entrepreneurs through its "SME Bonanza Campaign", targeted towards providing fresh loans to small and medium entrepreneurs, the State Bank of Patiala (SBoP), is now targeting the agriculturists and farmers by organizing farmer's meet.

At one such occasion at Sudhar village in Ludhiana district, which saw a gathering of more than 600 farmers, SBoP aggressively promoted its financial schemes for the agricultural community in the area. The bank officials gave detailed information about the products for this segment and answered the related queries of farmers. The products introduced to the community included innovative schemes like finance proposals for commercial dairy, horticulture and net house farming.  SBoP has also begun a follow up operation on its 'SME Bonanza Campaign' for entrepreneurs by organizing 'SME Customer Meets' at centers located throughout the country.

SBoP offers various financial products for farmers and agriculturists. Besides, the finance under Kisan credit card and Kisan Gold credit card, SBoP also offers finances to agri clinics and agri business centers. Farmers can also avail finance for purchase of land and marketing of their produce. Other schemes for farmers, provide finance for Jathropha plantation, herbal products, milch cattle, tractors, farm equipments and strengthening of agri marketing infrastructure.
