Private sector lender, Axis Bank has set up its fifth branch in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh. The branch has been set up at Gopalapatnam.

Announcing the opening of the new branch, Mr K.V.S.M. Sudhakar, the senior vice-president and circle head, said that the bank would mainly lay its focus on retail and consumer banking segments.

Axis Bank is the third largest private sector lender of the country having a branch network of 1, 192 and an ATM count of 5,590.

The bank's customer base counts to more than 1 crore.
