Indian unit of Deutsche Bank has introduced a special account targeted especially at urban women. The product launched by the bank is named ‘Eve Account', comes with benefits attached to it such as discounts on lockers, demat accounts and investment fees, the German bank said in a statement. The account would also help women get preferential interest rates on personal and home loans. And the accountholder would also be offered an international platinum and gold debit cards and the card will also be offered to her minor child as well. Additionally, the account-holder will also be eligible for free payable at par cheque books, demand drafts and pay orders. Of late, financial products or initiatives directed at women have come with the Finance Minister announcing to start a bank dedicated to women in the Budget 2013-14.
