Edutainment brand, KidZania has teamed up with Yes Bank to impart financial literacy and nuances of managing funds to children in a role playing concept.
KidZania is an edutainment concept that combines education and entertainment to empower and educate children by rendering real life experiences. It engages children between 4 to 14 years with career exploration, social consciousness and environmental stewardship.
At the entry of the KidZania centre, a child gets a traveler's cheque from the bank which he needs to give it to the teller to encash for the local currency (‘kidzos'). They can even withdraw kidzos from a Yes Bank ATM placed at different parts of the centre. Kids can either be a bank customer or a bank teller. This way the kids can learn the value of money as they have to earn, spend and save ‘kidzos'.
Mr. Rana Kapoor, Founder, Managing Director and CEO of Yes Bank speaking on the occasion said, "This association is an experiential combination of two organizations. This creative platform is aimed to inculcate the basic nuances of banking and generate greater awareness of prudent financial habits among children."
The first center of KidZania will be opened in Mumbai and then consecutively in the other parts of the country.
